Dear Paul,

Please share with your students that before I took your class I had failed the bar by points three times and felt depressed, frustrated, tired and cynical. You did three things, though, that lead to my success the fourth time. First, you made me get rid of my negative attitude and, in your words, draw a line in the sand and tell the bar I was worth it. Second, this positive attitude had the effect of changing my focus to what I could do better instead of dwelling on what I did right, etc. Third, your emphasis on routine and memorization gave me the automatic reflex I needed when the inevitable wild-card essay appeared.

In sum, while you're probably most famous for your ICO's, I'll always be grateful for your wisdom and humanity. You allowed me a career; words will never suffice.

Thanks Again,

M. Harris
